Inconel 625 is a nickel chromium alloy that is known for its high strength and excellent fabricability. The material offers excellent resistance to corrosion and its service temperature ranges from cryogenic to 982 °C.Precipitation hardening of the inconel 625 tubes is not required since the material contains molybdenum and niobium. This combination also enhances the rust resistance properties in a wide range of environments.
Due to the properties offered by alloy 625 tubing, they are used in sea water applications. The material can effectively withstand pitting and crevice corrosion. It also possesses good mechanical properties like high tensile strength along with effectively resisting chloride ion stress corrosion cracking.Inconel 625 exhaust tubing also offers good oxidation resistance and excellent weldability.
Inconel 625 tubing is available in various standard sizes so that it can accommodate a wide range of applications. The outer diameter of the tubes range between 1/16- 2" in diameter. The common wall thicknesses are between 0.035-0.120".
The inconel 625 tube suppliers supply them in standard lengths of 20 or 24 feet. You can get the sizes customized specific to your application requirements at Regent Steel & Engineering Co.

Inconel 625 seamless tubing
AMS 5581 tubing is made of premium material due to its chemical composition and mechanical properties. They are costly because of the high performance they give in a wide range of environments. The tube has exceptional high temperature strength and shows good resistance to corrosion.
Also, a lot of complexity is involved in the manufacturing process to produce dimensionally accurate tubes. Finally, the limited number of specialized DIN 2.4856 welded tube suppliers and high demand can increase the cost.

The inconel 625 seamless tubing shows good corrosion resistance in acidic, alkaline and seawater environments. They can maintain their strength in high temperature conditions. The material has excellent mechanical properties and is suitable for cryogenic applications.
Thus, the seamless nickel 625 heat exchanger tube is used in industries like aerospace, chemical processing, oil & gas, etc.
The main difference between inconel 625 grade 1 and grade 2 is in the annealing temperature. For grade 1, the min annealing temperature is 871 °C whereas for grade 2 nickel alloy 625 boiler tube, it is 1093 °C.By annealing at higher temperatures, the mechanical properties of grade 2 is slightly lower.
Thus, annealing the grade 1 2.4856 inconel 625 bright annealed tube at a higher temperature will convert it to grade 2.
The strength of the alloy 625 tube can vary with the manufacturing process, heat treatment and specific dimensions. It has tensile strength within the range of 827-965 MPa.Whereas, the yield strength is between 414-517 Mpa.The hardness of the tube can vary between 150-190 HB.
